Media accreditation now open for WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2022 in Mexico City

The deadline to register is 4 November.

Media accreditation is now open for the inaugural WBSC Baseball5 World Cup, scheduled from 7-13 November in Mexico City, Mexico. All local/national and international media members can now apply for accreditation using the official WBSC Media Accreditation online platform at my.wbsc.org.

The deadline to register is November 4th.

The accreditations procedure starts by clicking on MEDIA ACCREDITATIONS. The online form needs to be completed, including also a headshot.

Remember that the accreditation will go under this name if you indicate a preferred name and/or a preferred last name.

Please also note that it won't be possible to change the accreditation's pickup location after the expiration of the deadline.

Once the request is submitted, media members will receive an automated confirmation e-mail and can check their request status by:

  1. Visit the my.wbsc.org website.
  2. Click on "Media Accreditations"
  3. Click on “Search for your accreditations”
  4. Enter name, last name and email address (the same used in the request).
  5. A list of the accreditation requests will appear.

Approved media will receive additional onsite logistical details (i.e., where to pick up credentials, facility access, press conferences, media interview opportunities).

The WBSC Baseball5 World Cup will take place from 7-13 November at El Zocalo in Mexico City. The top 12 nations in the world will compete for the title of world champion in the first-ever global competition of the WBSC five-on-five, urban discipline.

GUIDELINES FOR NON-RIGHTS HOLDING (“NRH”) MEDIA

⦁ Only rights holders of applicable games may transmit game footage (audio and/or video) of WBSC events.
⦁ NRH media credentials provide access to games and any Opening/Closing Ceremonies. NB: Access will be granted subject to local health guidelines and regulations.
⦁ Credentials will be granted by specific categories (i.e., Press, Photographer, Radio, and TV), and stadium access will be granted accordingly.
⦁ It will be mandatory for Photographers and the NRH TV crews to wear WBSC-issued media vests.
