Isidoro Garcia, the president of the Piratas, the Minorca baseball/softball club, said that he got started with the project to demonstrate that he could develop baseball/softball on a small island.

Garcia added that it took one year of work to reach the goal of breaking ground and that he looks forward to the Piratas starting baseball/softball activity in Minorca.
