Northwest win Puerto Rican Double-A Women's Baseball League All-Star Game

Jenny Ortiz won the throw to second base contest, and Nayri Sanchez won the deepest hit contest. The Puerto Rican Baseball Federation dedicated the event to the memory of César Hernández.

Northwest dominated the Puerto Rican Double-A Women's Baseball All-Star Game at Estadio Gregoria Tejada in Domingo Ruiz, Arecibo, defeating Northeast, 10-0.

Northwest hitters combined 12 hits, with Jenny Ortiz, Yaishmary González and Migdrialys Sánchez producing the runs.

Lobas star pitcher Janiliz Rivera pitched two innings for the win.

Northwest selected the team among the players of Lobas de Arecibo, Ladies de Guánica, Petroleras de Peñuelas and Cafeteras de Yauco.

The Puerto Rican Baseball and Softball Federation dedicated the All-Star Game to the memory of César Hernández, the former president of the league champions Lobas. Under Hernández, Las Lobas won 10 league titles.
