Olympic Esports Series 2023: All set for eBASEBALL™ final qualifier

Over 20,000 participants from nearly 50 countries have participated in the eBASEBALL™ qualification process for the Olympic Esports Series 2023.

The qualification process for the baseball event at the Olympic Esports Finals 2023 continues with two spots up for grabs during the global qualifier final round, taking place 17-23 April.

The best ranked WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS player on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation respectively will be eligible for the finals that will take place at the Suntec Centre in Singapore from 22-25 June, 2023.

The winners will join the four top ranked players of the Japan-only Final Qualifier - which took place at the KONAMI eSports GINZA studio in Tokyo on 8 April - in progressing to Singapore. In Tokyo, the top 16 ranked eBASEBALL™ players from the Japan Qualifier Online Round (held from 13-19 March) competed. 

The line-up of 10 participants in the Olympic Esports Series Finals 2023 eBASEBALL™ competition will be completed with the winner from the Olympic Virtual Series 2021 Baseball Event – Shoma Mori (SHORA) –  and a Wild Card.

Olympic Esports Finals Baseball participants:

  • 4 from Japan Qualifier Final
  • 4 from two Global Online Qualifiers (two from each tournament)
  • 1 – Olympic Virtual Series 2021 winner
  • 1 – Other

(KONAMI).

WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS, released in February 2023, is one of the nine featured games in the Olympic Esports Series 2023, which is organised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
