Pakistan beats Malaysia in Women's Baseball Series

The Pakistan Federation hosted the WBSC sanctioned event in Bahria Town, Lahore. It marked Malaysia's debut on the women's baseball international stage.

World No. 19 Pakistan defeated Malaysia, 3-0, in the three-game Women's Baseball Series played from 27 to 29 March at the Cricket Stadium in Bahria Town, Lahore.

The series was organized by the Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) and sanctioned by the WBSC.

On Sunday, 27 March, Pakistan won the first game, 12-0. The following day Pakistan won 18-7. On Wednesday, 29 March, they outscored again Malaysia, 15-6, in the final game of the series.

It was the first-ever international game for the unranked Malaysia women's baseball National Team. The squad, led by captain Noor Ayesha Binte Samin, trained for two days in Pakistan before the series.

"This series proved a great opportunity for our team," Pakistan manager Tariq Nadeem told the local press. "We have a long-term project, and the game is growing, particularly in Gujranwala, Multan and Lahore."

Six umpires worked the games: Imran Mughal, Zubair Wattoo, Muhammad Jamil Kamran, Nadeem Saijad Shah, Syed Muhib (Pakistan) and Nifiza Binti Mohd Taib (Malaysia).
