Many players who were part of the Panama National Team at the WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup are currently competing in the national championship.

Panama, where baseball is considered a national sport, has wrapped up it's youth national championship, while the major national championship is in full swing. The tournaments are under the Panamanian National Baseball Federation. The youth championship was played between the months of March and April.

The youth championship, known as Campeonato Nacional de Beisbol Juvenil, featured players between the ages of 15 and 18. Coclé took the crown, winning their third championship in this category. Panamá Metro with 21 titles is the biggest winner in history.

The major championship, known as the Campeonato Nacional de Beisbol Mayor, is currently being played. The first edition was in 1944 and the top winner is Panamá with 17 titles, while Chiriquí is the reigning champion.

Many players who were part of the Panama National Team during the U-23 Baseball World Cup are competing in this tournament, including Abraham Rodríguez, RBI leader during the World Cup, who plays for Panama Metro.
