Puerto Rico names roster for U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup Americas qualifier

Puerto Rico selected 16 players after a pair of trials held in Longwood, Florida, and San Antonio, Texas, on 20 and 22 January respectively.

The Puerto Rican Softball Federation unveiled its roster for the upcoming U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup Americas qualifier, to be held from 1-8 April in Lima, Peru. It’s Puerto Rico’s first ever U-15 national team.

The players selected to represent Puerto Rico are:

  4. Andrea Campos
  5. Loanis Casiano
  6. Yamilette Cordova
  7. Giselle McCormick
  8. Nia Melendez
  9. Nylah Melendez
  10. Taliah Murria
  11. Ana Oquendo
  12. Liznelle Pacheco
  13. Alejandra Perez
  14. Yorlanys Reyes
  15. Katherine Sanchez

World No. 5 Puerto Rico selected 16 players after a pair of trials held in Longwood, Florida, and San Antonio, Texas, on 20 and 22 January respectively.

The tournament will award four spots in the inaugural WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup. The maiden global event will be staged at the Komazawa Olympic Park Sports Complex in Tokyo, Japan, from 19-30 October.
