The six friendlies are scheduled from 15 to 20 May in Havana. Puerto Rico and Cuba will compete in Group B in Miyoshi City, Japan, from 13 to 17 September.

The Puerto Rico women's baseball national team will travel to Havana to play six Women's Baseball World Cup warm-up games against Cuba. The games are scheduled from 15 to 20 May in the Santiago Changa Mederos and the Latinoamericano Stadiums.

The Puerto Rico National Team used an agreement with the Central League of Amateur Baseball (COLICEBA, Liga Central de Béisbol Aficionado) to compete in 16 games against top men's baseball prospects aged 16-19.

Manager Carlos Ferrer stated that the team is ready to compete. "We have a lot of practice hours under our belts. We want to take a lot of energy to Cuba and showcase our baseball against a powerhouse."

The IX Women's Baseball World Cup will feature a two-stage format for the first time.

World No. 7 Cuba and No. 9 Puerto Rico will compete in Group B from 13 to 17 September in Miyoshi City, Japan. They will face No. 1 Japan, No. 5 Venezuela, No. 16 France and the top finisher of the Women's Baseball Asia Cup.

Group A (8-13 August, Thunder Bay, Canada) will include No. 3 Canada, No. 4 USA, No. 8 Australia, No. 12 Mexico and the second and third-place Women's Baseball Asia Cup teams.

The top two finishers of each group, plus two Wild Cards, will advance to the World Championship stage, scheduled for the summer of 2024 in Thunder Bay.
