Russian Softball Championship set to open 2020 season with tourney

The 2020 Russian softball season is set to begin on Thursday, 3 September, with the opening day of the Russian Softball Championship. The competition will have eight participating teams, including Carrousel, RusStar, SSHOR 42, Moskvich, Moskovia, Kalita, Zvesda and Krym.

The tournament will be held at the recently revamped RusStar Arena, the newest baseball stadium in the region.

After the National Championship, the Russian Cup will be held from 13-19 September at the same venue.

Currently Russia is the 30^th ranked nation in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Rankings.
