Ireland, Italy, Spain, Canada, and Japan welcomed the best of women's baseball and softball in a summer full of action, with 30 teams taking the field.

The latest WBSC Women’s Baseball World Ranking welcomed Indonesia (17), Thailand (19), Malaysia (21), Sri Lanka (21) and Great Britain (25) for a record-setting total of 25 women’s baseball programmes in the ranking.

The veteran starred during the Women's Baseball World Cup Group B in Miyoshi City, Japan. The WBSC had a chance to talk to her.

The six-team event will open on 28 July, with the World Championship Final scheduled on 3 August.

The international baseball veteran, currently representing NPB's Fukuoka Softball Hawks, visited the Cuban National Team during the Women's Baseball World Cup Group B.

Venezuela's Frandelis Garcia earned Most Outstanding Player honours while looking back at the tournament numbers, Japan's veteran Yuki Kawabata had the best batting average, and rising star Kana Onodera topped all pitchers with 18 strike outs.

Two teams punched their ticket to the Finals 2024 on Sunday after Japan was already confirmed on Saturday.

Japan celebrated their first place in Group B and the ticket for the 2024 Finals in front of over 2,700 fans.

The starting pitcher threw a complete game shutout and batted in two runs. Venezuela joined Japan and Chinese Taipei in the 2024 World Championship Stage.

France took a 5-1 lead in the third, then Chinese Taipei reversed with a seven-run rally and went on to close the game by the run-difference rule. At the end of the game, the WBSC awarded Chinese Taipei the second ticket for the 2024 Thunder Bay World Championship Stage.
