WBSC Executive Board meeting: New pitch limits amongst rule changes for youth WBSC Baseball World Cups; National Federation updates and WBSC anniversary preparations on 10th May

President Riccardo Fraccari expressed his condolences to people affected by Taiwan's earthquake. The Board approved a new approach to the pitch-limit rule in U-12, U-15 and U-18 Baseball World Cups. While the merger of the Cuba Baseball and the Cuba Softball Federations into one national governing body – the Cuba Baseball Softball Federation - was one of three NF updates approved.

David Eckstein, Brad Penny and Steve Stone join USA U-18 Baseball National Team staff

They will serve under manager Rick Eckstein in the 2024 season. Penny and David Eckstein are both World Series winners. Stone had a 24-year career as a high school manager.

Olympic bronze medallist Rick Eckstein to manage USA U-18 Baseball National Team

He took over from Michael Cuddyer, who finished fourth at the XXXI WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup. He was on the coaching staff of the 2007 Baseball World Cup winner and the 2008 Beijing Olympics bronze medal winning team.
