The Sierra Leone Baseball and Softball Association introduced Baseball5 through a course to 20 physical education teachers in schools of Freetown and the Provinces.
"The outcome was impressive," commented Joseph Kanena Kanu, the Association's president. "It will impact over 300 athletes in the country."
The schools started practising the five-on-five version of baseball/softball after the clinics held by the Association's personnel.
The Sierra Leone Baseball and Softball Association has plans to organise inter-school Baseball5 competitions during 2023.
