The Singapore Baseball and Softball Association (SBSA) has unveiled its men's elite and development national teams for 2022. Players will be selected from both teams to form the squads that will compete in the upcoming Softball Asia Cup and U-23 Softball Asia Cup, which serve as qualifiers for the respective Softball World Cups later in the year.
The coaching staff is led by Farhan Harahap and Koh Ruoh Jie (both of them led the U-18 squad during the 2020 World Cup), William Mendoza (Pitching Coach), Dylan Soh (S&C) and Team Leader Chaw Wee Teck.
The Men’s Elite Team includes 10 veterans from Singapore’s 2018 team that finished 15th in the Men's Softball World Championship in Prague, Czech Republic. It also lists five players from the 2020 U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup squad that stunned No. 2 Argentina on Day 1 and finished ninth place.
Seven other members of the 2020 U-18 Singapore team were selected for the Development Team.
