Softball to return in Panama after pandemic pause

The Panamanian Softball Federation announced men’s and women’s tournaments will be held in December to kick off resumed activity.

The Panamanian Softball Federation (FEPASFOT) announced that softball will again be played in parks across Panama starting in December, following months of inactivity due to COVID-19 safety precautions.

A Panamanian men’s softball tournament is slated for 1-5 December, while 10 days later a women’s softball event will get underway.

FEPASOFT has been working with the Panamanian Sports Institute and the Health Minister in order to set up the competition 'bubbles' at Felipe Motta Stadium and MVP Sports City, located in the capital.

Currently, Panama is the 52nd ranked team in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Rankings and the 24th in the men’s list.
