Swiss prospect Livio Bundi loves to play baseball year round

After playing for Ventura College in the United States, the pitcher and infielder represented his country at the European Championship 2023. He now plays in the Australian Victoria Summer League and will return to Europe to compete in the 2024 German Bundesliga.

Twenty-two-year-old Swiss prospect Livio Bundi has already played baseball on three continents having played in the US, featured in an European Championship and currently plying his trade in Australia.

The Zurich Barracudas pitcher and infielder played for Ventura Community College in California, USA in 2022.

In August the same year he represented Switzerland in the U-23 European Championship Qualifier. He appeared in five games, going 9-for-14 (a .643 batting average) with one home run and five RBIs. He also pitched 2.2 innings over three games.

The Zurich native also appeared in three games as a pitcher and one as the right fielder in the European Championship 2023.

Bundi is currently playing for the Moorabbin Panthers in the Victoria Summer League in Australia.

He has already committed to play in Europe for the 2024 season. He will play for the Hamburg Stealers in the German Bundesliga. The club introduced him through an interview on their YouTube channel.
