Taiwan's Jeffrey Koo Jr. is the new Baseball Federation of Asia president

Koo Jr., the current president of the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association, succeeds Tom Peng. "The BFA will always be WBSC's most trustworthy working partner."

Jeffrey Koo Jr., the current president of the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association (CTBA), has been elected president of the Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA). The election took place on occasion of the 4th WBSC Congress, which is running from 3-5 July in Taipei City. Koo succeeds Tom Peng, the current WBSC baseball executive vice president.

"I want to thank Mr Peng," commented Koo after the election, "he has devoted his selfless dedication to baseball for over 50 years."

Koo addressed the WBSC leadership: "The BFA will always be your most trustworthy working partner. We want to build a better home for Asian baseball and establish smooth channels to the Americas, Europe, Africa and Oceania."

Xu Chen (China), Masatake Yamanaka (Japan), and Syed Fakhar Ali Shah (Pakistan) will serve as BFA vice presidents.

BFA elected Andrew Fan (Hong Kong), Houman Mansourian (Iran) and Rod Tingzon (Philippines) as Members at-large.
