A five-year-old convinced his father to fly from Guatemala to Atlanta to watch Ronald Acuña Jr. The player said on Twitter: "This is the part of the game I love the most."

Ronald Acuña Jr of the Atlanta Braves is one of the rising stars in Major League Baseball (MLB). The 23-year old Venezuelan outfielder earned Rookie of the Year honours in 2018. He was voted to the 2019 All-Star Game and then won back-to-back silver slugger awards.

Nicknamed The Abuser for his power at bat, Acuña is very likely aware of the number of fans he attracts. He may not have considered that a five-year-old kid would convince his father to travel from Guatemala to Atlanta just to see him play.

It happened on Friday, 9 April. The Braves hosted the Philadelphia Phillies, and the happy family in the stands tweeted a video about their excitement.

Acuña, who is the son and the grandson of professional baseball players, reacted to the tweet: "This is the part of the game that I love the most."
