Thembani Moyo is new president of Zimbabwe Baseball Association

Thembani Moyo is succeeding Morris Banda and will serve as the new president of the Zimbabwe Baseball Association through 2024.

John Madziro and Eldon Mudzingwa will serve as the vice presidents. Vincent Chaima is the new secretary-general. The treasurer is Nhlanhla Mlauzi.

The executive board includes members at large Nyaradzo Marijena, Sheila Chikovi, Winmore Mubariri, Thomas Mahachi, Trust Masayiti and Shephad Sibanda.

Zimbabwe became independent in 1980 and was mainly dedicated to softball for a decade. In 1990, president Malcom Burne reintroduced baseball in the country.

In 2007, Zimbabwe's baseball and softball bodies split.
Zimbabwe participated in All Africa Games in 1999, 2003 and 2007 and won bronze medals in all three editions. In 2019, Zimbabwe participated in the Africa Baseball Championship, winning bronze.

The programme is currently No. 47 in WBSC World Rankings.
