Ts’eliso Lemphane elected as Lesotho Baseball Softball Association President

Lemphane will lead the organization until 2027.

The Lesotho Baseball Softball Association (LBSA) elected their new Executive Committee for the term 2022-2027 during their general assembly held on 25 September. Ts’eliso Lemphane was elected as President of the LBSA.

The LBSA Executive Committee is:

  • President: Ts’eliso Lemphane
  • Vice-President Baseball: Ntata Masiloane 
  • Vice-President Softball: Lintle Nkhahle-‘MaberengMochochoko
  • Secretary General Advocate: Hlalele Ts’olo
  • Treasurer: Khehla Khoabanyane
  • PRO: Pusetso Makapa
  • Member: Nthabiseng Zwagala

“Following the hectic pandemic we just experienced, this is that time we have to come together as one and bring back the highest level of our sport where it used to be,” said outgoing President Tlali Rampooana.

In October 2019, before the pandemic, the WBSC African Development Project (ADP) reached Lesotho. WBSC organised a course on the Management of a Sports Organization at the Lesotho National Olympic Committee in Maseru. A total of 27 persons participated in the course, that was organised in collaboration with the LBSA.

Lesotho ranks 37 WBSC Men’s Softball World Rankings and is No. 59 in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Rankings.
