Tunisia takes major step in development of Baseball5

A partnership with the Ministry of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports aims at holding courses and clinics for coaches, umpires and players in 427 Youth Centres across Tunisia.

Saber Jlajla, the President of the Tunisian Baseball and Softball Federation (FTBS) announced the signing of a partnership and cooperation agreement with the Tunisian Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

The agreement is part of the strategy of the Federation to spread the practice of Baseball5 and increase the number of players.

The main goal of the convention is to hold courses and clinics for coaches, umpires and players in 427 youth centres of the country.

The next goal will be organizing 10-team tournaments in each of the 24 Governorates. Considering every team made of eight players, this would involve a total of 1920 players.

Also in the context of expanding the number of Baseball5 players and creating a championship between youth centres, the FTBS has organized a course led by the WBSC continental instructor Chedli Mokrani for youth leaders of the youth centre in the Governorate of Bizerte.
