South Africa defeated (16-4) Germany, that is now the only team with no wins in the tournament, outhitting them (12-4) in a game plagued by defensive error (4 by Germany, 3 by South Africa). South Africa was off a brilliant first at bat against Germany starter Koehler, who was not backed by his defense and left without getting the first 3 outs despite allowing only one earned run.
Ashwen Damons pitched 2 innings in relief to earn the win for South Africa. Center fielder Jared Riffel starred for South Africa, going 3 for 4, with a homer and 4 RBIs.
Brasil used 3 pitchers to limit Australia to 5 hits and defeat them 8-2. Inaba gave up 3 hits in the first and then left for Torigoe, who secured the win pitching 4.2 innings. Correa got the last out.
Brazil offense got the needed timely hitting, with outfielder Eduardo Sonomura getting 2 RBIs.

Panama took a 4-1 lead into the fifth and then scored 9 runs to close it 13-3 against Czech Republic. Adan Sanchez played catcher and hit a home run, but the most productive hitter proved pitcher Anthony Corrales, who went 2 fo 2 with 4 RBIs. Gonzalez also went the distance on the mound, allowing 4 hits and striking out 8.
