WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup Day 1: Chinese Taipei walks it off, easy wins for Mexico and USA
The hosts were trailing 3-1 with two outs in the bottom of the sixth and came back to win. The US hit eight home runs and beat the Czech Republic, 24-0. Mexico needed only four at-bats to score 15 runs on 14 hits. Venezuela got a forfeit victory against Italy.
There were no surprises on Day 1 of the VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup.

Panama 3-4 Chinese Taipei
The defending champions, Chinese Taipei, opened their U-12 Baseball World Cup against Panama.
Panama scored early and took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two outs, the hosts took advantage of defensive woes and a struggling bullpen. They won on a two-out base hit by third baseman En Chen. READ MORE.

USA 24-0 Czechia
USA designated hitter Jordan Leon hit the first home run of the VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup, and the United States took an early lead over the Czech Republic.
The US offence combined for 20 hits, including 8 home runs, and won it in four innings. READ MORE

Venezuela vs Italy
The WBSC Technical Commission forfeited the game between Italy and Venezuela. The Italian roster didn't comply with the Health & Safety Protocol that the WBSC, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and the Local Health Authorities agreed on to protect the health of the participating players, coaches and officials.
