Japan beat (15-0) Brazil in an early morning game to close the qualifying round of the U-12 Baseball World Cup. The WBSC number 1 ranked used 11 hits (including a home run by catcher Daisuke Mori) and 2 pitchers: Kato went 3 innings and Toi followed with 1.
Thanks to the win, Japan qualifies as number 1 in pool A, followed by Chinese Taipei and Mexico. The super round will start as soon as 11 o clock local time and will qualify the top 2 teams to Sunday’s championship game.

The super round features the very best of WBSC World Ranking, except for number 5 Cuba, that did not participate in the tournament: number 1 Japan, number 2 USA, number 3 Korea, number 4 Chinese Taipei and number 6 Mexico. Number 15 Nicaragua is looking for points to get closer to number 12 spot, the last that qualifies for the 2019 Premier12.
