U-15 Women’s Softball Americas qualifier to open in Lima, Peru, on Saturday 1 April

South American rivals Brazil and Colombia will open the tournament at AELU Stadium in Lima, Peru.

The Women’s Softball U-15 Pan American Championship will open on Saturday 1 April at AELU Stadium in Lima Peru, with the first four games of the tournament, a qualifier for the inaugural WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup, scheduled for 21-29 October in Tokyo, Japan.

A total of 10 teams will participate in the tournament in two groups:

  • Group A: No. 1 USA; No. 18 Brazil; No. 19 Peru; Team WBSC; No. 41 Colombia.
  • Group B: No. 5 Puerto Rico; No. 6 Mexico; No. 22 Venezuela; No. 33 Argentina; No. 60 Ecuador.

On Day 1, Brazil will face Colombia; Mexico will meet Ecuador; Venezuela will take on Argentina; while the host team, Peru, will open the tournament against Team WBSC. The tournament will finish on 9 April.

The top four teams from the continental event will earn a ticket for the first edition of the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup.
