Updated schedule released for WBSC Blind Baseball International Cup
The opening games on Friday, 27 September will now feature defending champions Italy and China at 09:00 on Field 1 while Hungary will take on USA on Field 2 at the same time.
The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) today released an updated eight-team schedule for the WBSC Blind Baseball International Cup 2024, which takes place from 27-29 September in Farnham Park, London (UK), following the withdrawal of Tanzania.
The eight teams have now been evenly split across the two groups with Hungary - selected to keep the continental balance as the only European team in Group B to not have participated in the inaugural WBSC Blind Baseball International Cup in 2022 - moving from Group B to Group A to replace Tanzania, who withdrew due to logistical reasons.

The opening games on Friday, 27 September have now changed to feature defending champions Italy and China at 09:00 (local time) on Field 1 while Hungary will take on USA on Field 2 at the same time.
The first two days of competition will see the participants complete the Opening Round before the semifinals take place on Saturday will see the second-ranked team in Group B playing the top-ranked team in Group A, while the other semifinal will feature the second-ranked team in Group A against the top-ranked team in Group B.
Following the semifinals, the tournament will conclude on Sunday with the bronze medal game at 09:00, the gold medal game at 11:30 followed by a closing ceremony.
