USA finalise roster for WBSC Americas U-12 Baseball World Cup Qualifier

The tournament is scheduled from 19 to 28 May in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The top four finishers will advance to the World Cup.

After a three-day Training Camp in Flower Mound, Texas, USA Baseball announced the final 18-player roster for the WBSC Americas U-12 Baseball World Cup Qualifier.

The roster includes seven players initially selected during the 2022 National Team identification series: Colton Byrners, Tyler Early, Kingston George, Omar Henriquez, Michael Ohman, Jett Schoolcraft, and Ryder Serna.

"All twenty-four athletes who competed at Training Camp displayed great talent and character," said manager David Sharp. "Deciding a final roster is always a difficult task, but we feel that the 18 athletes who we have selected will represent the United States well both on and off the field. We look forward to competing against some of the best baseball nations in the world."

Four spots in the VII WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup are up for grabs in the WBSC Americas Qualifier from 19 to 28 May in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

The U-12 defending World Champions and World No. 2 USA will face the hosts and No. 3 Mexico, No. 6 Venezuela, No. 7 Cuba, No. 10 Dominican Republic, No. 11 Puerto Rico, No. 14 Panama, No. 15 Colombia and No. 24 Brazil.

The games will be hosted by the Ferrocarrillero Gonzalo Villobos Stadium and the Children's Sports Training Center (CECADI). After round-robin play, the top four finishers will qualify for the medal round and advance to the U-12 World Cup.
