USA reveals national team roster for XXX WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup on home soil

"This Training Camp roster was extremely competitive and talented, giving us the opportunity to put together a strong roster at every position," said manager Denny Hocking.

After a five-day training camp, that include four games Stars vs Stripes, USA Baseball released its National Team roster for the upcoming XXX WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup.

"We are really excited about the group we are bringing to represent our country next week in Florida," said 2022 U-18 National Team Manager Denny Hocking. "This Training Camp roster was extremely competitive and talented, giving us the opportunity to put together a strong roster at every position. The mission is to protect our home soil and win the World Cup, and this group gives us a great chance at accomplishing that goal."

Four players on the roster have previous experience playing for the US. Aidan Miller makes his third appearance on a USA roster after playing for the U-12 National Team in 2016 and winning a world championship with the U-15 National Team in 2019.

Colt Emerson and Gavin Grahovac will reunite on this year’s team after winning the 2017 U-12 Baseball World Cup in Tainan, Taiwan.

Blake Mitchell returns to the U-18 National Team after playing for the US in 2021 when the team went 5-1-1 in a friendship series against Canada.

The FULL ROSTER

World No. 5 USA finished second at the U-18 Baseball World Cup 2019 after winning the previous four editions.

The US will host the XXX WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup in Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida. They hadn't hosted the event since 1995.

U-18 USA will compete in group A and face World No. 3 Korea, No. 8 Netherlands, No. 12 Canada, No. 25 Brazil and No. 26 South Africa.

The competition opens Friday, 9 September.
