USA Softball announces rosters for 2022 Canada Cup and Japan All-Star Series

“These women will grow and learn together in an elite training environment, which will help us build a foundation for USA Softball for the years to come,” said USA Softball head coach, Heather Tarr.

Following the announcement of the 2022 Women’s National Team roster for The World Games, USA Softball announced the athletes that will compete in the 2022 Canada Cup and Japan All-Star Series this summer. The 18-player Canada Cup roster will compete in Surrey, BC, Canada this June, while a 15-player roster will compete in the Japan All-Star Series, which has been tentatively set for this August.

“It is an incredible opportunity for us to be able to assemble two additional rosters for the Canada Cup and Japan All-Star Series,” said USA Softball head coach, Heather Tarr. “These women will grow and learn together in an elite training environment, which will help us build a foundation for USA Softball for the years to come.” 

The long-term objective of USA Softball would be to regain the Olympic title, potentially at the Los Angeles 2028 Games.

The 2022 USA Softball WNT Canada Cup roster includes three veterans from the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team as well as six members from the previously announced World Games roster. The Canada Cup roster includes 12 current student athletes.  

Selected to the Japan All-Star Series roster are two athletes who will represent the U.S. for the first time in their careers, in addition to three members from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic roster, six members from the Canada Cup roster and four members from the World Games roster.
