Tokyo 2020 Olympic silver medallists Ally Carda, Rachel Garcia, Haylie McCleney and Dejah Mulipola return with the US national team in their quest to defend their World Title in Italy.

Sis Bates, Carda, Mia Davidson, Megan Faraimo, Hannah Flippen and Savannah Jaquish helped USA win the Group A of the World Cup last year and advance to this year's Finals.

The team also includes two rookies making their debut in the Red, White and Blue.

Athletes were selected by the Women’s National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC) based on previous and ongoing evaluations at the collegiate levels as well as USA Softball National Team events, trials and camps.

The top-ranked nation in the world, USA will open the World Cup Finals in Group A playing world No. 5 Canada on the opening day, hosts and No. 6 Italy on 16 July and No. 15 China the day after. After a group round-robin, the top two finishers of each group advance to the Super Round, while the number three and four teams will compete in the Placement Round.

The number one and two seeds after the Super Round will then compete in the World Championship Final. The number three and four finishers will play for bronze.
