USA Softball Hall of Famer, past president ET Colvin passes away at 70

He had an 18-year playing career and was a USA Softball National Hall of Fame Commissioner before serving as the president for two terms.

The world of softball mourns the passing of Elton Thomas Colvin, better known as ET. He would have celebrated his 71st birthday on 17 December.

After playing college baseball, Colvin had an 18-year softball playing career and appeared in four American Softball Association (ASA) National Championships.

After retiring as a player, he served as the ASA Commissioner for Mississippi, his native State, from 1992 to his retirement a few weeks ago.

Colvin was part of the USA Softball Softball Board of Directors for 20 years and served as the President for two terms. He represented the US internationally on the International Softball Federation (ISF) board. He was inducted into the National Softball Hall of Fame in 2010.

He is survived by his wife Linda.
