The Venezuelan Baseball Federation (FEVEBEISBOL) launched a programme to develop Baseball5 coaches and officials in collaboration with the Baseball Association of the Lara State. A total of 82 people participated in the courses.
After Lara, FEVEBEISBOL plans to extend the programme to all the other 22 states in the country as well as implement a regional and national competition, both for adults (no age limit) and the U-18 age bracket.
"Participating in the Baseball5 tournament in the 2026 Youth Olympics is a short term goal," FEVEBEISBOL said.
