Watch for free on GameTime; Pan Am Games baseball qualifier set to open on Friday in Argentina

GameTime subscribers will be able to watch for free the 11 games of the tournament in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Five National Teams will chase one ticket to the baseball tournament at the XIX Pan American Games when a Qualification Tournament  at National Baseball Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina begins on Friday 16 June.

World No. 13 Canada, No. 14 Panama, No. 29 Argentina, No. 40 Peru and No. 43 Honduras will play for the one spot available at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games Baseball competition.

GameTime, the WBSC-owned OTT platform, will offer livestreaming of the 11 games of the competition for free. To watch the tournament, viewers must log in to gametime.sport and select the games here.

The action will begin on June 16 with Canada facing Panama and hosts Argentina taking on Peru. Honduras will have a bye on the first day of the tournament.

The five National Teams will play a 10-game round robin from 16 to 20 June, with the two best teams in the tournament advancing to the finals to play for the ticket to the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, on 21 June.

The Santiago 2023 Pan Am Games baseball competition will be played from 18 to 28 October at the Baseball and Softball Center in Parque Bicentenario de Cerrillos. A total of eight teams will participate from the Americas biggest multi-sport event. Chile have already qualified as host team; Colombia earned a ticket as the Junior Pan Am Games gold medallists; while Brazil earned a spot as the South American champions. The other five teams will be the winner of the qualifier in Buenos Aires and the top four teams in the final standings of the San Salvador 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games.

Baseball has been part of the Pan American Games since the first edition that took place at Buenos Aires 1951. At Lima 2019, Puerto Rico claimed its first-ever gold medal, defeating Canada 6-1 in the final.
