The WBSC Coach Commission has made available a course on Baseball/Softball Grassroots on the WBSC Academy digital platform. The course is part of the Coach Licensing Programme.
The e-learning programme aims at equipping educators, aspiring coaches and current coaches with the necessary knowledge and tools to help develop new generations of baseball and softball players all over the world.
The grassroots course consists of six different modules. The first is an introduction to the Coach Licensing Programme. The other lessons include an overview of baseball/softball fundamentals for beginners, tips and drills on how to properly field or catch a ball, the first approach to the offensive side of baseball and softball, the Mini-baseball/softball programme put in place by WBSC and an introduction to Baseball5.
