WBSC Academy course 'Coaching Girls in Baseball' available on 3 May
The second lesson of the project launched on International Women's Day follows the Q&A session hosted by WBSC on 30 April.
The WBSC Academy will offer a course on Coaching Girls in Baseball on Monday, 3 May.
The lesson will focus on the differences in physical and mental training that a coach has to consider when working with female athletes.
Andre Lachance, who last managed Baseball Canada's Women's National Team at the 2018 WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup, will be the lecturer. Lachance has since transitioned into the role of General Manager of Baseball Canada's Women's National Team Programme.
The lesson follows the Q&A session hosted by WBSC on Friday, 30 April. The experts who were available for the panel included Lahcène Benhamida (French National Team manager), Amanda Hocking (Great Britain National Team manager), Juan Jesús Martinez Manríquez (Mexico National Team manager) and Rod Tingzon (Vice President of the Philippine Amateur Baseball Association, PABA).
The course on Women's Baseball was introduced by the WBSC Diversity and Inclusivity Commission and the Women's Baseball Commission this past International Women's Day.
