WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024 Social MVP contest open

The Social MVP will be awarded with the High5 award, recognising an individual, national federation or player who has harnessed the power of social media to share captivating and impactful stories about Baseball5 and the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024

With 10 days to go to the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024, the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) is pleased to announce the opening of the Social MVP contest for the tournament, which takes place in Hong Kong, China from 7 to 12 October.

The Social MVP will be awarded with the High5 award, recognising an individual, national federation or player who has harnessed the power of social media to share captivating and impactful stories about Baseball5 and the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024, especially taking the excitement of the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024 to fans worldwide.

Players, national federations and fans are invited to participate by using both #B5High5 and the official tournament hashtag #B5WorldCup and tagging @WBSC and @Baseball5.

The award will be given to the most engaging and influential content that is posted on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok from 27 September until 12 October. Content will be judged on its impact, creativity and success in engaging Baseball5's global fanbase as well as elevating the sport’s visibility. The WBSC Media & Communications team will evaluate posts based on metrics like engagement and impressions, and the storytelling impact.

In partnership with LEVERADE, the Social MVP and other Individual Award winners - Outstanding Female Player, Outstanding Male Player and Best Coach - will receive traditional and NFT trophies, showcasing WBSC’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in recognising excellence.
