WBSC confirms U-12 Baseball World Cup participants and groups

The world baseball and softball governing body granted Wild Cards to Australia and the Dominican Republic. CTBA will host the event's seventh edition in Tainan from 28 July to 6 August.

The World Baseball Softball Confederation confirmed the 12 participating teams in the VII U-12 Baseball World Cup.

Asia (3) No. 1 Japan, No. 4 Chinese Taipei, No. 5 Korea
Americas (5) No. 2 USA, No. 3 Mexico, No. 6 Venezuela, No. 10 Dominican Republic, No. 14 Panama
Europe (2) No. 16 Czechia, No. 19 Germany
Oceania (2) No. 9 Australia, No. 45 New Zealand

The respective Continental Associations appointed Japan, Chinese Taipei, Korea (WBSC Asia) and New Zealand (WBSC Oceania). USA, Mexico, Venezuela and Panama are the top four finishers of the WBSC Americas Qualifier. Germany and Czechia are the winners and runners-up of the U-12 European Championship. The WBSC granted Wild Cards to Australia and the Dominican Republic.

The 12 participants will split into two groups:

  • Group A Venezuela, Chinese Taipei, Mexico, Japan, Australia, Germany.
  • Group B USA, Dominican Republic, Korea, Panama, Czechia, New Zealand.

The Chinese Taipei Baseball Association (CTBA) will host the VII WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup in Tainan from 28 July to 6 August. The United States are the defending U-12 world champions.
