TAIPEI -- The WBSC Congress today approved six new National Federation members to join global baseball/softball family.
The new Federations (listed below) were unanimously approved by the WBSC Congress, bringing the total number of WBSC Member Federations to 193, plus 13 associate members:
In addition, five Federations lost their membership: Namibia Softball Federation, Cook Island Baseball Softball Federation, Bermuda Baseball Federation, Iceland Baseball Federation and Sierra Leone Softball Federation.
A total of 133 National Federations were present on Monday during the first day of the IV WBSC Congress staged at the Marriot Hotel in Taipei City, Taiwan.
