WBSC Europe leaders re-elected as National Olympic Committee board members

WBSC Europe Co-Presidents Didier Seminet (France) and Gabriel Waage (Czech Republic) will be continuing in their roles with their respective National Olympic Committees.

Fast-growing European baseball-softball continues making a strong impact in the Olympic movement, this time with two of its leaders re-elected as Board Members of their respective National Olympic Committees.

Didier Seminet, President of the French Baseball Softball Federation (FFBS, Fédération Française de Baseball et Softball), has been re-elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Olympic and Sports and French Committee; while Gabriel Waage, President of the Czech Softball Federation, has been re-elected as a member of the Czech Olympic Committee Executive Board.

Seminet was re-elected at the elective General Assembly on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, in Paris, which saw Brigitte Henriques succeed Denis Masseglia at the head of the CNOSF. Seminet was elected to the CNOSF Board of Directors in 2017 for the 2017-2020 term and was Chef de Mission during the 2019 European Games.

Waage was re-elected as a board member of the Czech National Olympic Committee for the next four-year term. He was elected during the assembly held on 29 June, where Jiří Kejval was named president of the NOC for the third consecutive time.

Seminet and Waage are co-presidents of WBSC Europe, the baseball-softball continental confederation.
