WBSC Premier12: Puerto Rico names Edwin Rodriguez General Manager

The Baseball Federation of Puerto Rico (FBPR) announced that Edwin Rodriguez will serve as the Premier12 National Team general manager.

A baseball agent who represents Major League Baseball (MLB) stars such as Kike Hernández, Jorge López, Edwin Sugar Díaz and Alexis Díaz, Rodriguez has been involved in player development in Puerto Rico since 2006.

"He has the contacts, experience and knowledge to take this responsibility," commented FBPR president José Quiles. "We want to field a competitive team, and we'll start working on all Minor League Baseball (MiLB) players available."

"It's always an honour to represent Puerto Rico," commented Rodriguez. "I'm grateful to President Quiles and FBPR for including me in the working group. I will do all I can to field the best team possible."

The third WBSC Premier12, presented by RAXUS, is scheduled from 10 to 24 November 2024.
