The WBSC and SSK have been partners for more than 20 years.

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) announced today a new multi-year official supplier partnership with Japanese baseball brand SSK Corporation (SSK).

The agreement will run through 2025 and grants SSK the right to be the exclusive provider of the official competition ball and umpire equipment for the WBSC’s flagship Premier12 global event and Baseball World Cups, including the U-23 Baseball World Cup, the U-18 Baseball World Cup, the U-15 Baseball World Cup, the U-12 Baseball World Cup and the Women’s Baseball World Cup.

“The WBSC is proud to continue this long-lasting partnership with SSK as we strive to provide the best game ball available and conditions so the players can give their best performances on the international stage,” said WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari. “Our most important international competitions demand the best available products in the game, and SSK has been delivering that. The official competition ball provided by SSK received extremely positive feedback from the players and teams at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.”

“With the brand mission of ‘Baseball, it's our game,’ SSK provides opportunities to connect with fans around the world and achieve a better life/game through the sport of baseball,” said SSK President Kyoichi Sasaki. “We are pleased to renew our contract with the WBSC, and we have had a partnership since 1993 in umpire gears and equipment. We will continue to provide official game balls for the Premier12, which decides the world's best, and the Baseball World Cup, a tournament for each age group from U-12 to U-23. By renewing the contract, we, SSK, are committed to the further development of baseball and to contribute to world peace through sports.”

The WBSC and SSK have been partners for nearly 30 years. The latest partnership was realized through a joint effort by the WBSC and its commercial arm, BASE International S.A..
