WBSC supports baseball development in Switzerland

The Minotaures of Martigny (Canton Valais) and the Mammoths of Yverdon les Bains (Canton Vaud) introduced children and adults to the fundamentals of the game through different events

Baseball was part of different promotional events in Switzerland. WBSC supported the organizers with a batting cage and some help on logistics.

The Minotaures of Martigny (Canton Valais) introduced to the fundamentals of hitting over 600 children during different events: the Juniors Days in Martigny and the tenth edition of the Hedgehog Under Grass Festival in Charrat (Valais)

“These initiatives are part of the logic of club development, but also help the promotion of the sport at the regional level,” said Martigny President Jeremiah Lugari.

The Mammoths of Yverdon les Bains (Canton Vaud) had a baseball stand at the Sports Festival organized by the city’s Sport Department at the Parc des Rives. The stand was visited by at least 100 people. Visitors could experience hitting and have their pitch speed checked by a radar gun.
Mammoths President François Alleyn was coordinating the effort.

Switzerland is ranked number 44 in the world by WBSC.
