WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup schedule announced: Panama v Dominican Republic and Mexico v Japan opening games

The two-group Opening Round will run from 28 July to 1 August while the Super Round and Placement Round are scheduled for 3 to 5 August, followed by the medal games on 6 August.

World No. 1 Japan will play No. 3 Mexico in the opening game of the VII WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup at Asia-Pacific Main Stadium while world No. 14 Panama take on No. 10 Dominican Republic at Asia-Pacific Field II both at 11:00 (local time) on 28 July as the official game schedule for the tournament was unveiled during a tournament presentation in Taipei City on Thursday.

VII U-12 Baseball World Cup Schedule

The two-group Opening Round will run from 28 July to 1 August while the Super Round and Placement Round are scheduled for 3 to 5 August, followed by the medal games on 6 August. The Asia Pacific International Baseball Stadium in Tainan, Taiwan, is the home of the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup.

World No. 2 and defending champions USA take on world No. 16 Czechia in Group A in the second game of the day at Asia-Pacific Main Stadium at 14:30 while world No. 5 Korea take on New Zealand, ranked 45th in the world, in Group B at Asia-Pacific Field II also at 14:30.

Hosts Chinese Taipei play Australia in Group B at 18:30 to close Day 1 of the competition at Asia-Pacific Main Stadium while world No. 19 Germany takes on No. 6 Venezuela in Group A at 19:00 at

World No. 4 Chinese Taipei and No. 9 Australia will compete in Group A and face No. 1 Japan, No. 3 Mexico, No. 6 Venezuela and No. 19 Germany.

No. 2 USA, No. 5 Korea, No. 10 Dominican Republic, No. 14 Panama, No. 16 Czechia, and 45 New Zealand will compete in group B.

The top three finishers of each group in the Open Round will then advance to the Super Round, while the other six teams will play the Placement Round.

The first and second-place teams of the Super Round will play for the U-12 World Title, while the third and fourth-place finishers will compete for a bronze medal. The finals are scheduled at 14:30 and 18:30 (local time) on Sunday, 6 August.
