WBSC U-15 Softball World Cup: USA name first-ever National Team roster to compete at Americas qualifier

The Women’s Pan American Championship - the Americas qualifier for the WBSC U-15 Softball World Cup - is set to be played from 1 to 8 April in Lima, Peru. A second USA U-15 roster will compete at the Utsugi Cup in Japan from 2 to 4 June.

USA Softball announced the athletes that will represent the U.S. at the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup Americas Qualifier to be hosted in Lima, Peru, from 1 to 8 April this year. A second USA U-15 roster will compete in Japan from 2 to 4 June.

A total of 21 athletes – split between two 16-player rosters – will compete for USA at the U-15 Women’s Pan American Championship in addition to the Utsugi Cup in Takasaki, Japan slated for June.

“It’s such an honor to see this group of athletes turn their dream of representing Team USA into a reality by advancing through our High Performance Program and being named to our first U-15 Women’s National Team roster,” said Chief Sport Development/Performance Officer, Chris Sebren.

Both teams will be led by head coach Kyla Holas who previously helped USA to gold medal finishes at the WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup 2020 and the 2021 Junior Pan American Games.

The inaugural WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup is set to be played from 19 to 30 October 2023 in Tokyo, Japan.
