WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup: USA names 40 players for preliminary national team roster

World No. 5 USA will host XXX WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup in Florida from 9 to 18 September.

USA Baseball has announced a 40-man U-18 National Team Training Camp roster. The camp is scheduled from 29 August through 2 September at the Lee County Sports Complex in Fort Meyers, Florida. On the final day of the camp, USA Baseball will reveal its roster for the upcoming WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup, which will take place on home turf in Florida from 9 to 18 September.

The 40 players come from a pool of 100 athletes who participated in the Prospect Development Pipeline (PDP), which concluded on 6 July.

Four of them are USA Baseball alumni. Aidan Miller was a member of the 2016 U-12 National Team and the 2019 U-15 National Team. Colt Emerson helped the US win the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2017. Walker Jenkins and Blake Mitchell were on USA Baseball's last U-18 National Team.

In addition, a select number of athletes from USA's U-16/17 development camp (25-29 July) will compete for a spot on the US U-18 World Cup roster.
