WBSC Yearbook 2022: Check out the recap of another exciting year in global Baseball, Softball & Baseball5

Your essential guide to the World Baseball Softball Confederation’s (WBSC’s) activities and events in 2022.

The WBSC has published its official Yearbook 2022, a comprehensive resource that provides an in-depth look into the thrilling 2022 season, complete with reports, captivating images and data.

"I am filled with a sense of pride and major achievement, especially considering the full calendar of events we managed to stage, complete with fans in the stands," stated President Riccardo Fraccari in his opening address.

The historic 2022 season saw the crowning of both the Men's and Women's Softball World Champions for the first time ever. Women’s Softball also emerged as the most successful event of the World Games. The season also featured four Baseball World Cups, the inaugural Baseball5 World Cup and the groundbreaking Virtual Cup’s first-ever edition, making it an action-packed year.

The Yearbook dedicates a section to each event, allowing readers to relive the highlights and memorable moments that made the 2022 season unforgettable.

Meanwhile, the first section of the publication is dedicated to the fourth WBSC Congress.

"We were, of course, able to gather this year in Taipei City for the WBSC Congress. There, we took key decisions for the future of our sport," wrote Secretary-General Beng Choo Low in her message.

The final section of the Yearbook includes the whole structure of WBSC governance, from the Executive Board to the Division Boards and Commissions.

The 2022 Yearbook serves as an indispensable guide, offering stakeholders a comprehensive overview of the activity of baseball’s and softball’s global governing body. The WBSC also unveiled its 2022-2028 Strategic Plan last year. Aligned with the IOC’s Olympic Agenda 2020+5, it is a vital tool for the WBSC’s continuous drive for growth and sustainable development.

The Yearbook is now available to download on the WBSC website.
