A total of nine teams participated in the recent Chinese Softball Champions Cup, held by the Chinese Softball Association in Yilong District, Guizhou Province. The event was played from 1 to 8 June and was a qualifier for the seven-team softball event in China's 14th National Games.
Jiangsu was crowned the champion, joined by Sichuan and Shanghai on the podium. Liaoning, Beijing, Henan, and Guangdong have also earned a spot in the National Games. These teams and the host Shaanxi team will participate in the 14th National Games in Xi'an in September.
After the event, CSA President Yang Xu presented prizes to the winning teams, players, coaches and umpires at the award ceremony.
Back in April, Jiangsu won their 12th consecutive Chinese Women’s National Softball Championship.
