Women’s Professional Fastpitch (WPF) unveiled its regular season softball schedule for 2023, with four participating teams: SIS Vipers, Texas WPF, USSSA Pride and OKC Spark. The four-team league will begin on 15 June the WPF Championship Series is slated for 15-17 August.
The regular season will finish on 7 August, with a total of 72 games. Each team will play 12 series of three games each during the regular season, totalling 36 regular season games per team.
The WPF Playoff Semi-Finals will be staged from 11-13 August, while the WPF Championship Series is slated for 15-17 August.
Last year was the inaugural WPF season with USSSA Pride and Smash It Sports Vipers facing off during eight series across the season.
WPF, co-founded by USA Softball, USSSA and Smash It Sports, aims to provide a long-lasting and viable option for softball players post-collegiate play, with the ultimate goal of making the professional dream a real possibility for young girls around the world.
