Women's Softball World Cup Trophy Tour continues in Italy

Ten clubs will be able to introduce their communities to the trophy from May 25 to June 2. On Wednesday, May 29, the showpiece prize will be at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics Foundation.

The Italian Baseball Softball Federation (FIBS) announced that the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Trophy will tour the Lombardia Region. The host clubs will be able to introduce their community to the trophy that will be awarded to the Women's Softball World Champions 2024.

FIBS revealed the trophy last week during a press conference in Rome.

The trophy will be displayed in Brescia and Seveso on Saturday, 25 May. The following day, the Bovisio Masciago and Bollate clubs will host it.

The tour will continue on Tuesday, 28 May, in Caronno and the land in Cernusco sul Naviglio (30 May), Legnano, Varese and Saronno (1 June). It will finish in Milano after visiting Rescaldina and Sannazzaro on Sunday, 2 June.

National Olympic Committee (CONI) President Giovanni Malagò will introduce the trophy at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics Foundation on Wednesday, 29 May.

Castions di Strada in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region of Italy will host the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Finals from 15-20 July. After last year's exciting group stage play, World No. 10 Australia, No. 5 Canada, No. 15 China, No. 6 Italy, No. 2 Japan, No. 8 Netherlands, No. 3 Puerto Rico, and No. 1 USA will compete to become world champions.
