The second day of action in the Super Round of the VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup Super Round, saw the right-hander pitch five masterful innings, striking out 10, and hit a solo home run.

Korea played well behind brilliant starter Woochan Jung to defeat Mexico, 4-1, and claim the Asian nation's first Super Round win in the VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup.

The right-hander worked five innings and allowed only four hits and a walk, while striking out 10.

Jung was also one of the three players to hit solo home runs against Mexico's starter Johnny Jimenez.

Shortstop Seunghyun Park and catcher Yeachan Kim blasted home runs.

Jimenez left after 2.2 for Edgar Melgar. The newcomer didn't allow a run in 3.1 innings, but Korea had already scored all they needed.

Woochan Jung left after five and hitting the 86-pitch limit.

Reliever Seungwoo An loaded the bases with one out. He balked to allow the first run and was relieved by Kuwon Jung, who struck out the side to end the game.

Korea and Mexico both will carry 1-3 records into their last Super Round contest on Saturday, 6 August, as Korea will face Chinese Taipei and Mexico will open the day against the Dominican Republic. The medal round is still undetermined.
