Young-Bok Lee to manage Korea at the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup

Lee is the head coach of the Chungham High School. KBSA also announced that former KBO infielder Bo-Myung Jung would manage the National Team at the XXX Asian Championship.

The Korea Baseball Softball Association (KBSA) named Chungam High School head coach Young-Bok Lee the manager of the U-18 National Team participating in the XXXI WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup.

Lee started his successful run as Chungam High School head coach in 1993.

The XXXI WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup is scheduled from 31 August to 10 September in Taipei and Taichung, Taiwan.

Korea have participated in 21 editions of the U-18 Baseball World Cups, winning five, most recently in 2008. In the last three editions, they finished fourth in 2022, third on home soil in 2019 and were the runners-up in 2017 in Thunder Bay, Canada.

KBSA also announced that Bo-Myung Jung, the head coach at Dong-eui University in Busan, will manage Korea at the XXX Asian Baseball Championship. A former Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) infielder, Jung has coached Dong-eui University since 2019.

The XXX Asian Championship, a qualifier for the WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup, is scheduled from 19-26 November in Taichung, Taiwan.

Korea is No. 5 in WBSC Men's Baseball World Rankings.
